The Tinto & Culter Hills area of Scottish Region 27: The Scottish Borders region is the area enclosed by an imaginary line connecting:

  • Larkhall to Blyth Bridge via Carluke, the A721, Carnwarth, Newbigging and Elsrickle to the North;
  • Blyth Bridge to Moffat via Broughton, the River Tweed, Stanhope, Hearthstane, Tweedsmuir and Glenbreck to the South East;
  • Moffat to Larkhall via the A74(M), Elvanfoot, Abingden Happendon and Kirkmuihill to the South West;


If you count only the Donalds there are 6 tops to climb, bag & conquer and the highest point is Culter Fell at 748m (2,455ft).
