Trekking in Borneo
Q. [I] just wondered if anyone has any experience of trekking in [the] Borneo jungle/mountains.
My daughter goes on a months trip there this summer and I am concerned about finding the best boots which would be suitable for wearing daily in those conditions?
Louise Edge, Blackburn
A. Jungle trekking means you are constantly wet. Any kind of waterproof boot is useless as what keeps water out also keeps water in. I always use military jungle boots over wool socks. The boots have vent holes to let water drain out.
