Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Downham Hill (Smallpox Hill) at 199m (653ft). Downham Hill (Smallpox Hill) is known as an English Bridget. Downham Hill is also known locally as 'Smallpox Hill' because it was also once the site of an isolation hospital, the remains of which can still be seen.
