Points of Interest/Notes on this walk:

This walk enters the Merrivale Army Firing Range.Information on firing times can be obtained by calling 01837 52939. In any event, do not enter the range when red flags are flying.

The odd shaped lumps of rock strewn across so many of the South West's tors are collectively known as 'clitter'.

The highest point of this walk is Great Mis Tor at 539m (1768ft). Great Mis Tor is also known as an English Dewey (95th highest in England, 216th in England & Wales)

Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Great Staple Tor at 455m (1493ft). Great Staple Tor is known as an English Bridget. The summit of Great Staple Tor is marked by a rocky outcrop.

You will also reach the summit of Roos Tor at 454m (1490ft). Roos Tor is known as an English Bridget. The summit of Roos Tor is marked by a rocky outcrop.
