Caroline Winter walked up Viewing Hill on August 30th, 2022 [from/via/route] Alston road at Swallow Hole & Yad Moss, lay by opposite Finger post, path to building ruins, bearing to Viewing hill [with] Becky [weather] Warm & humid afternoon. Prolonged Dry spell - Good track, but turned off too early, crossing moorland, hags & troughs to find cairn marking the top. Encountered a row of grouse beaters near the top & land rovers along the track lower down. On descent, took a path that veered off towards Cow Green reservoir & brought us out on lower main track by an abandoned building
Angela Moroney climbed Viewing Hill on May 18th, 2021 [from/via/route] kirkstone [with] Jane ludders [weather] sun wind
Kevin Foster bagged Viewing Hill on September 4th, 2018 [from/via/route] du132 from Langdon Beck. [with] Henry. [weather] Cloudy but with plenty of sunny breaks. - Great Stony Hill had the feel of a proper mountain top with great views all round. The track skirting Viewing Hill was very easy walking after what had gone before. The only problem was having to leave it to make a pathless ascent & descent off Viewing Hill itself. Be warned on reaching Cow Green visitor car park the walk is far from over as there is another 4 km of road walking to go to return you back to the starting point at Langdon Beck. Overall a very enjoyable walk though.
Mark Hanley hiked Viewing Hill on June 17th, 2018 [from/via/route] Bowlees [weather] Cloudy

Christine Shepherd conquered Viewing Hill on April 30th, 2017 [from/via/route] Walked from the road using part of walk du132 [with] On my own [weather] Dry & pleasant. A bit breezy but the wind wasn't cold so it was fine.
Mark Davidson scaled Viewing Hill on August 8th, 2008 [with] Mike [weather] High white cloud - bit cool for August
Ray O'hara walked up Viewing Hill on June 24th, 2013 [from/via/route] DU132 [weather] overcast but summit clear - The summit yet again requires trampling through a bit of a bog, but not too bad. Nice views in all directions, well worth visiting.
