Walking The Struggle near Ambleside?

I am going to the Lake District for the weekend and want to repeat a walk I did a few years ago.

It started from Ambleside and began with a gentle ascent through a valley. There may have been a bridge before the valley? There was a steep ascent up to the right to a flattish area with a 360 degree view. There was a descent which ended up coming out through a gate onto The Struggle and a walk down the road back into Ambleside.
