Got an answer to the following Walking/Hiking question?

Pain in Achilles Tendon with New Walking Boots

I just bought new walking boots and they are causing pain in [the] achilles tendon. Feels like bruising, not rubbing. Doesn't hurt unless I wear footwear high enough to push against the affected area.

I have just rested for 2 weeks but can feel the pain as soon as i put the boots back on.

Can anyone offer any advice?
