Walking The Cape Wrath Trail

I'm thinking of doing the Cape Wrath Trail next year (2010) and would like some advice (possibly psychiatric) on the best time of the year to do it. April seems favourite at the moment . . . but . . . when is the latest I can leave it before the midges become an issue???
