Got an answer to the following Walking/Hiking question?

The best time to climb Scafell Pike?

A group of friends and I are planning on climbing Scafell Pike in October to raise money for a charity. We are a group of 7 fourteen year olds, and we will take at least 3 experienced adults.

It sounds crazy but we are all fit and sporty and very determined. We were just wondering what the best time to go would be.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)
