The best time to climb Scafell Pike?
Q. A group of friends and I are planning on climbing Scafell Pike in October to raise money for a charity. We are a group of 7 fourteen year olds, and we will take at least 3 experienced adults.
It sounds crazy but we are all fit and sporty and very determined. We were just wondering what the best time to go would be.
Any advice would be much appreciated :)
Thanks

A. If you are inexperienced pick a long dry summer weekday to climb Scafell Pike (so there is plenty of daylight, but not too many other people) that is not too hot and not too windy.

Hope this helps and don't forget to send us some photographs.
