In-use Test:

I'm female, 5'8'', of average build and so far have used Snugpak's female version Laponie 350 in temperatures down to about 4 degrees C.

I liked the female cut - generally the bag felt cosier than others I've used. The length was fine for me - but I think if you were much taller you might find it a bit on the short side.

The Laponie has some nice features. There's a zip baffle and a draft collar with a drawstring plus a hood with a drawstring. There's also a velcro tab that's useful to stop the zip opening by accident during the night. The 2 way zip will also be handy for ventilating the bag on warmer nights - have yet to use it when I felt the need for this feature!

The temperature rating on the bag itself has the Comfort rating at -4 degrees C. I was sleeping on a well insulated pad but without the hood fully up or the drawcords around the zip baffle fully tightened up. I was just about comfortable at 4 degrees C - which is probably what I'd expect in a bag with this temperature rating.

I managed with reasonable ease a pack size of approximately 40 cms x 26cms after use.

Buying Advice:

Snugpak's Laponie Lady 350 is a little too heavy for backpacking but is certainly a good value option for weekend/car camping with a tent in Spring/Summer and probably during early Autumn as well.
