I am a Male Walker, in my mid 70s, based near Bradford, West Yorkshire

My Message: Hello, I'm Roy, a young at heart fell walker looking for an easy going walking companion for walks both at home and abroad. I love the countryside so I'm not really fussed about particular areas in this country. The ones I've selected are where I walk regularly but would like to explore a little further afield and don't mind travelling to a decent walk. Abroad, my favourite walking areas are within the Mediterranean Climate Regions (prefer the more reliable weather!). Not into route marches or wild camping. Much prefer to take in the scenery, wildlife, local history and a suitable hostelry en route! I also have a wide range of other interests which include cycling, hot air ballooning, theatre and travel. I'm also pet friendly so don't mind a canine companion coming along. A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. I prefer warm, dry & sunny weather but can cope with the odd shower. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.
