I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Ambleside
My Message: I moved to The Lake District in February 2014, having spent the previous 30 years living and working in London. My two children are in their early 30's and still in London. I started a B&B/self catering business here in Ambleside and I've climbed all the Wainwrights in between dealing with my guests. My interests extend to wildlife and the preservation of wild places. I play in a samba drumming band, sing with a local choir, I'm in the local mountain rescue team, the local water pressure group and enjoy live music of most genres. I try to spend time each summer working at music festivals, particularly Glastonbury. I'm pro European (a Remainer) and I hate our current government. Chatting and good company in the high fells can make for memorable and atmospheric days, so do please get in touch.

A bit more about me:
I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better.
I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on.
I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own.
I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good.
I can drive and have a car.
I am also interested in:
- Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
- Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
By putting my profile on here I am hoping to meet someone special.
