Challenging Walks In The Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains in February
Hi. Some friends and I are climbing Mont Blanc next summer and have been training for the last few months. We're keen to do some walking/climbing in February in the UK and would be grateful for any advice on climbs/walks that are challenging but not dangerous in February. We'd opt for [Ben] Nevis, Snowdon and [Scafell] Pike but these are beyond our technical abilities at present, given we're we're not yet experienced with crampons and ice picks. We're all based in the London/S.E so this would be our starting point; ideally we'd like to maximise the climbing time and minimise the driving time and I estimate that Wales would be a good bet (Brecon Beacons/Black Mountains)?
Look forward to hearing from you,
Thanks
