Got an answer to the following Walking/Hiking question?

How do I know if it is good climbing conditions for Scafell Pike?

I hope that you can help, friends of mine are climbing Scarfell for the first time and are not sure what they should class as good climbing conditions for Scafell Pike. Please can anyone give me advice as to the wind speeds that should be okay to climb in and then what should be avoided etc? They have a long trip there are it would be a lot of wasted money if they then should or can't climb. Thank you
