Answer a walking and hiking question

Got an answer to the following Walking/Hiking question?

Coast-to-coast

I live in Australia and own a Garmin e-trex legend GPS. We plan to walk the coast-to-coast this autumn and would like to load maps/waypoints onto the device as an aid. I do not have UK mapping so do I need to have this before I download your software.
