Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new Waterproof Jacket. After extensive looking on the web and around shops i quite like the paramo Alta II jacket except for one thing the price.

Can anybody recommend a good waterproof suitable for heavy downpours in the Lake District for around £250.

Or tell me if the Alta II is really as good as it sounds and what it's like all year round as some reviews say it's only good for winter.
