Dogs on Pen Y Gent

Q. Does anyone know if it's possible to take my springer spaniel on the 3 peaks in Yorkshire, i.e are there stiles too high for a dog or fences to climb, he doesn't bother sheep or any animals.

A. There are a couple of ladder stiles on Pen-y-ghent but they shouldn't present a problem to a reasonably fit dog.

For the best choice of walks on the three peaks that make up the Yorkshire Three Peaks see: Walks on Pen-y-ghent, Walks on Whernside and Walks on Ingleborough.

Providing you follow the countryside code and keep your dog on a lead (or under close control) as a courtesy to everyone else on the fell you should be OK.
