Abereiddy was once a thriving village. However since a typhoid epidemic, severe floods and the closure of the mine in the 1900's it has fallen into ruin.

Part of this walk follows a section of The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, a 299km (186 miles) linear footpath connecting Amroth in Pembrokeshire, with St Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
