Simon Myerscough walked up Baystones (Wansfell) on December 30th, 2025 [from/via/route] Parked at Ambleside, a little icy on way up but generally a fine day. [with] Joanne [weather] Not much wind & cold & occasionally sunny
Sarah Moore climbed it on January 1st, 2026 [from/via/route] Just an up & down for New Years Day sunrise. Hadn't realised how easy the route was - up the road & then a path straight to the top. Great little walk. [with] Moi. Nice to see a few people at the top and share the sunrise. [weather] Great winter conditions. Cold at the top & didn't hang around but relatively clear. Didn't get the incredible colours but thats ok. - Not done 3 days in a row before & legs feeling it, but loved it. Just great to whizz out & nail another Wainwright before heading home.
Andrew Gayne bagged it on September 5th, 2025 [from/via/route] Ambleside [with] Becky Gayne, Will, Dan, Ben & Meg [weather] A cloudy but relatively warm day with the sun breaking out occasionally - Stayed at Graythwaite estate Friday through to Monday. Drove to Ambleside on Friday, had lunch, & then went up Wansfell Pike & Baystones. Did some shopping & drove onto Greythwaite to check in
