Walking/Hiking Answers: Getting around The Lake District by Bus

The Lake District By Bus

Hi there.

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to who to ask for this.

I am a student hoping to climb a few specific fells in a few weeks [i.e. Scafell Pike, Great End, etc] but I have never travelled without a driver before. I have no idea how to get from a hostel to a Fell, could you help me on this?

Are there any bus routes available for such routes? Or is there a general van to hitch a lift in? Any help would be appreciated.
