Walking/Hiking Answers: Hiking Rannoch Moor in three stages
Got an answer to the following question?
We walked the West Highland Way this year. Prior to walking the Great Glen Way (at the end of April next year) we plan to hike across Rannoch Moor in 3 stages:
1. Kings House Hotel - east to Black Corries Lodge - Tigh na Cruaiche - north bank of Loch Laidon - Rannoch Station.
2. Rannoch Station - east to Doire na h-Innes - north to follow Allt Eigheach river - north-west to Clach an Fhuarain - Corrour Old Lodge ruin - Peter's Rock - east to Loch Ossian and bunkhouse - Corrour Station.
3. Corrour Station - to north-east follow path parallel to railway - Loch Treig - Creaguaineach Lodge - follow river Allt na Lairige - bothy - follow river Allt Leachdach - Corriechoille - to the west paved road south and parallel to the railway - Spean Bridge.
Comments are very welcome regarding the feasibility, difficulty, skill needs, accommodation tips, map tips for this trip?
Many thanks in advance and greetings from Belgium.
