Sometimes referred to as the 'Flow Country', Forsinard comprises 18,000 acres of deep 'blanket' bog in the heart of the peatlands of Caithness and Sutherland.
A brochure available from RSPB Forsinard Flows Visitor Centre has more details of the habitat, history and the flora & fauna that can be found on the Dubh Lochan Trail.
