Carnedd y Filiast (Arenigs) is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (117th highest in Wales, 287th highest in England & Wales) and a Welsh Marilyn (41st highest in Wales, 652nd highest in the UK).
Carnedd y Filiast (Arenigs) means 'Cairn of the Greyhound' in Welsh and is pronounced 'kan-neth ee viliast'.
The summit of Carnedd y Filiast (Arenigs) is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point.
Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Waun Garnedd-y-Filiast at 650m (2136ft). Waun Garnedd-y-Filiast is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (139th highest in Wales, 330th highest in England & Wales).
You will also reach the summit of Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn at 643m (2110ft). Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn is also known as a Welsh Nuttall (146th highest in Wales, 342nd highest in England & Wales).
Along the way you will also bag and tick-off:
- Foel-boeth (Llyn Celyn) at 596m (1956ft). Foel-boeth (Llyn Celyn) is classified as a Welsh Dewey (19th highest in Wales, 32nd highest in England & Wales).
