The County Stone (a large boulder built into a wall junction) 800m south of the summit of Great Coum marks the NE tip of the county of Lancashire.

The highest point of this walk is Great Coum at 687m (2254ft). Great Coum is classified as an English Mountain (Hewitt) (111th highest in England, 187th highest in England & Wales)
Great Coum is also known as an English Nuttall (146th highest in England, 245th highest in England & Wales) and an English Marilyn (35th highest in England, 619th highest in the UK).
Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Crag Hill (Great Coum) at 682m (2238ft). Crag Hill (Great Coum) is known as an English Bridget. The summit of Crag Hill (Great Coum) is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point.
