In good weather Carn Aosda, Carn a' Gheoidh and The Cairnwell are the three easiest Scottish Munros to climb if tackled from Glen Shee. Sadly, this joy is short lived due to the ugly mess the Glenshee Ski development has made of the area. There are however fine views from the summits of all three.

The highest point of this walk is Carn a' Gheoidh at 975m (3200ft). Carn a' Gheoidh is classified as a Munro (No. 180) and a Scottish Marilyn (137th highest in Scotland, 141st highest in the UK). Carn a' Gheoidh is also known as a Murdo (259th highest in Scotland).
Completing this walk will also take you to the top of The Cairnwell at 933m (3062ft). The Cairnwell is classified as a Munro (No. 246) The Cairnwell is also known as a Murdo (375th highest in Scotland).
You will also reach the summit of Carn Aosda at 917m (3010ft). Carn Aosda is classified as a Munro (No. 278) Carn Aosda is also known as a Murdo (433rd highest in Scotland). The summit of Carn Aosda is marked by a small cairn.
