Female Walker in my mid 60s based near Northallerton looking for new friends to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Northallerton

My Message: Hello. I am a recently retired fit and active 64 year old single female who has every intention of walking as much of our own country as possible and for as long as I am fit and able to do so. All my friends are still working (poor things) and I would much rather walk with a friend (male or female) than on my own. I live about 40 minutes north of York and have a car so a reasonable travelling distance is not a problem and as work is no longer a consideration � any day is fine.
I love any distance of walk but am probably happiest between 8 and 12 miles with time to stop and enjoy the beauty of the countryside, am quite happy to walk whatever the weather (almost!) � and if there happens to be a teashop on the journey�. Well I admit I take some dragging past it!
Would welcome replies from any age and either sex but please don�t ask me to go camping�. Where on earth would I plug in the hairdryer???
