I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hyde
My Message: I first started walking for pleasure about three or four years ago I am fairly fit and can tackle a 12 to 15 mile walk but take my time on the steep uphill sections although I am just as happy with a shorter walk. I gave up driving to do a my bit for the environment about the same time I started walking (my friends all reckoned it was the male menopause) so most of my walking starts at a train station. Its not so bad as I live near Glossop therefore the dark peak is on my doorstep. Now my problem, as much as I like the beauty of our magnificent countryside it would be so much nicer to see somebody’s smile as we rounded a corner and looked out over a new vista or shared a butty in the poring rain. Afterwards it would be nice to rest our aching bones and chat about the day over a drink and maybe a meal. So if you are a female in the same position as me and live relatively close it will be nice to hear from you, I am a bit nervous about writing this so please don’t be shy get in touch
