I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Esher

My Message: I (Stephen) have always loved walking in the great outdoors, but not (so far!) in any particularly organised or ambitious way. Having said that, I do try to get away on a hiking holiday in the Alps every year and for that I typically handle a climb of 1000 metres in a day and distance of 20km+ without discomfort, so I must be in fairly good shape � far better shape than I have any right to expect at my age of just turned 60.

I have literally just retired and so I now have time to indulge my joy of walking more than I have been able to do while I was working. I am hoping to find someone, or even a few, like-minded to share my enjoyment with, both locally in the Surrey/home counties area and perhaps sometimes further afield � Lakes, Wales, Scotland, abroad � anywhere really.

A good part of the enjoyment for me is the companionship, so a good chat in a suitably situated pub would be a good complement to the walking and fresh air.
