I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Belvedere
My Message: Hi, I'm Tim, 61, fit, active, lots of energy and stamina, looking for a female walking companion. Any age or ethnic origin is welcome, but I am an atheist, and there's not much point in us being too philosophically dissimilar. I live on the London/Kent border but have walked extensively in all areas of England and Wales and bits of Scotland (only the distance has kept me from doing more). Have walked most hills in the Lake District and Snowdonia and nearly all the national trails and many others. I love the UK coast and am always ready to walk any part of it, as well as local paths such as the North Downs Way and South Downs Way. In fact, I'll walk anywhere and at any time - it's what I love to do. Hopefully I'm well-rounded and I also love music, books, maps, nature, history, buildings, etc. Friends have said that I'm funny, kind, intelligent, sensitive, a good conversationalist - still, what do they know? Any companion would hopefully soon be a friend but I'm very open for this to develop into a girlfriend/soulmate/life partner situation. And if it doesn't there'd still be a good walking friendship. If any of this appeals I'd love to hear from you.
My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:
My Preferred Walk Areas:
North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales; East Anglia; The Heart of England; South East England; South West England;

A bit more about me:
I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better.
I prefer warm, dry & sunny weather but can cope with the odd shower.
I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other.
Even if I say so myself, I consider my map reading & navigation skills to be excellent.
I don't drive.
I am also interested in:
- Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
- Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
- Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
- Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
By putting my profile on here I am hoping to meet someone special.
