I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi. I'm a 38 year old man hoping to find walking friends. I'm not massively experienced but I'm fit and healthy and will give any walk a go. I have transport so can meet and offer a lift. I love walking with my very friendly young lurcher. She's very sociable and well behaved. She loves other dogs. Ideally, I'd like to walk with another dog owner or someone who likes dogs. She's quite happy to sleep under a table at the pub! I love the country and the coast. My favourite place is the Llyn Peninsula but I enjoy the Lakes and Snowdonia too. I'd love to explore further afield too.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Hebden Bridge.

My Message: Hi, I am Regina and I relocated from Germany to West Yorkshire 3 years ago.
I enjoy going for long walks on my own but I also would like to find walking partners.
I am not very keen on map reading, I often prefer to get lost on the hills as long as I can find a nice pub afterwards which is most of the time the case.

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Leeds.

My Message: Hi there. I am a 35 year old female, looking for either a male or female walking companion. I am an enthusiastic walker and love the outdoors. I really enjoy the whole experience of walking, including the sights, nature and wildlife. I enjoy a leisurely stroll or more extreme lengthy walks. I have done quite a few walks locally around yorkshire, including canal walks and the 3 peaks in the Yorkshire dales. In 2011 I did a 10 day walk in the Borneo rainforest which was tough due to the conditions, but was fantastic at the same time. I am pretty much up for giving any walk a go, rain or shine..... or snow! My map reading and navigation skills aren't particularly brilliant, but this is something that I am working on! If you fancy going for a walk, please get in touch.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near St Helens.

My Message:
Hello. Have just retired and would love to have a female companion to while away the hours on some walks in the countryside, hills and valleys; whether it be weekends or during the week. Been a lake district walker in the past with colleagues from work. Been to Spain (Alpujarras, Aracena, Tenerife, Majorca), Malta and Gozo; love coastal walks. Need to get the office leg muscles working again. I, m 5ft 10in, non-smoker and enjoy a real ale now and again. Like weekends away when you can do a nice walk and enjoy the village life in the evening. Love to here from you. Martyn

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hartlebury.

My Message: Hi. I'm Peter and I live near Worcester. I've been self-employed for over twenty years, which means I'm free to walk almost any day of the week. My friends say that I'm fairly fit, have a sparkle in my eyes and a love of life. But although I'm a member of another group, I'd love to have a local walking-buddy. My ideal walk is interesting, rather than challenging, and probably around five to ten miles.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Crewe.

My Message: Hi!
I've really got into walking these last couple of years. Unfortunately living in Cheshire means its mainly flat and I do prefer a hill or two! Would welcome the opportunity to meet new people and do enough walking to justify a drink at the end! My navigational skills aren't brilliant, but I've always managed to get back to the car, and I think this deficiency adds greatly to the fun of the walk! I'd be particularly interested in doing a couple of hours in the summer evenings mid week but should also be available some weekend days as well for a little bit more hilly walking away from Cheshire! Hope to hear from you soon :-)

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Knutsford, Cheshire.

My Message: Hello, I'm based in Knutsford, Cheshire and love the outdoors, particularly the parts with a pub at the end, or in the middle! Reasonably fit and active but equally happy doing high-level walks but also some of my favourites are walks around the coast or around lakes in Cumbria. Seeking an interesting companion to find new walks with. I am mainly available at weekends but can do walks closer to home in the evenings, and can be available during weekdays as my business is flexible. My ideal walking mate would have a love of the English countryside, have an easy laugh, a sunshiny disposition and be able to join in interesting banter at pub at end of walk.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Southam, Warwickshire.

My Message: Hi, I'm usually free to walk most weekends. I'm based in Warwickshire but love walking in the Lake District, Snowdonia, mid Wales, Brecons, Peak District and anywhere else really. As long as there's a good walk involved I'm usually interested. I'm a professional person, easy company and looking for nothing other than a good walk and easy company. I drive and am happy to provide transport, if en route. I have passed my bronze NNAS map reading course, but I'm not fully confident to lead a complicated route! I am fairly fit and am just about to run my first half marathon. Email me with questions etc, I really won't bite. Kind regards Michelle

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Derby.

My Message: Hi there
I'm new to this and looking for companions to help! I've been working on my fitness and I'm looking to continue the process whilst making friends, if at all possible, as I've also just relocated and don't know many people in Derby and surrounds. I don't expect to be a burden though, I'm pretty switched on, can read maps and make conversation, but mostly I'm very willing and motivated!
I haven't filled in a lot of detail about counties to walk in as I drive and am open to suggestions! This applies equally in relation to difficulty levels; I think it probably depends on spare time and how far in advance you're planning but I'm definitely looking to challenge myself a bit :)
Whilst I have no idea whether this site works for meeting new people, I'm optimistic......

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Guildford.

My Message: Hi I'm Nick. Looking for someone to share a good walk or 2 all over the place. I'm not bothered where really but the wilder the better. I've had some great walks over Dartmoor and just starting to explore the Brecon Beacons and looking to have a go at walking the Bob Graham round some time too. I come from Surrey, so when i get a chance i'm out in the Surrey Hills taking in the beautiful scenery and trying to stay out of all the pubs.

My Message: Hi, I am early retired, fit and healthy, I walk most days. I am usually in the Peak District 2/3 times a week and know many interesting walks. I also walk locally in the Wentworth area of South Yorkshire.
I enjoy a good laugh and never run out of conversation, I am usually well versed in the local History and best view points of where I walk.
Being retired and curious I have no problem traveling to areas further afield in my quest to make new friends.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Nelson.

My Message: Hi. I live in East Lancashire and like to go walking locally as well as in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes. I have two reasonably well behaved dogs and a lot of the time we just go off together. Sometimes it would be great to have some companionship though. I'm reasonably fit, though haven't done any of the big Lakes fells for quite a while. I can manage 10 miles, but most of my walks locally are shorter. Last year I walked the Lady Anne Way with a group of friends, and this year we're doing the Cumbria Way bit by bit.

My Message: Hi my name is Stuart looking for a fairly experienced walking companion to walk in the Lake District or anywhere in the North of the UK. I have just started walking over a year ago but have a good fitness level and will give any distance or grade ago.
I own my own pub restaurant so Mondays are the best days for me, other days can be arranged but not weekends.
Easy going just looking for a good walk followed by a well desevred pint.
My partner is currently teaching in New Zealand so when she returns she would also join us.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Near Darlington.

My Message: I've recently moved to County Durham and am looking for one (or two)new friends for occasional or regular walks. I walk often, but don't particularly like going out with large groups.
I'm a fairly experienced walker - familiar with the Yorkshire Dales, but still trying to finish the Wainwrights! I live a little south of Durham so have good access to Lakes, Dales and Northumbria - though I haven't much knowledge of the latter and would be happy to remedy this.

I look forward to hearing from anyone out there with similar interests. Jean
