I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Heswall.

My Message: Phil, 50 looking for walking companions who can do weekday walks. I Work many weekends and the others I owe to my kids. Still building up my fitness so Grades 1-5 are my range. Midweek fellow walkers are thin on the ground so I'm as happy right now to go for a gentle stroll as to break sweat on a mountain. I think I'm decent company, not opinionated, just enjoy the company. A nice beer at some point would be good too! Hope to hear from you soon.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Liverpool.

My Message: Hello,

My name's Ray and I live in Widnes Cheshire - I mainly walk in The Lake District National Park and have done for many years - having many routes memorised but still taking map and compass just in case - lol - I also enjoy cycling and have a mountain and trail bike - often take both to The Lakes and Scotland but the drive (especially on my own) puts me off Scotland these days - although with someone to share the driving it's more of an option. I know The Trossachs fairly well too - I've tried local walking groups/ramblers etc and found I prefer smaller groups - I'm fairly fit - not super fit and don't do the 10 hr slogs I used to in my youth -Anyway - enough of me - would be delighted if you found any of this appealing and got in touch, Regards, Ray

As I live in the midst of the lovely Shropshire Hills I'm happy to contine exploring this area until I've a few more walking miles under my belt. But I'm happy to accompany anyone with the knowledge and experience to help me go further afield. I'm available at weekends and a good walk definitely incorporates good food and local beer!

Flexible in work and of the opinion, if it's a nice day get out and enjoy it.
I walk most days with a friend but would love to meet new people to go further afield, and in particular the Yorkshire Dales. I have recently enjoyed a long distance cycle route with friends and am keen to continue this too.
Always keen to try new pubs/cafes and looking forward to new adventures.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Leeds.

My Message: I'm a 53 year old single, professional woman living in Leeds. I love walking, and do plenty of short but not particularly challenging walks in the countryside outside Leeds with friends. However, I enjoy more of a challenge, having recently got hooked on the delights of hill walking in the Lakes, and having been a member of LDWA for many years and done several of their challenge walks I'm also happy to walk longer distances. But, most of my friends don't fancy that idea, so I am looking for new walking partners to go further afield. OK, I will also be honest, as a single woman I would also like to meet a nice professional, single man who also enjoys walking - romance might just blossom on the hills!

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hitchin.

My Message: Hi, I'm Ian, I live on the Herts/Beds border and like to walk mainly in surrounding counties.
I am 63, reasonably fit and like walks between 5 and 12 miles, occasionally stopping to admire scenery and take photos, and usually include a pub stop for a refreshments. Although many of my local walks are solo, I do join with a group occasionally for walking weekends further afield. I am happy to plan/navigate walks and prefer an interesting walk to a challenging one.

Early retirement is imminent and will give me the opportunity for mid-week walking as well as weekends; so if you would like some walking company and a chat along the way, please drop me a line.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Near Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

My Message: Looking for walking companions male or female. Ideally for regular evening and/or weekend walks locally in Staffordshire / Shropshire / Cheshire areas and occasional walks further afield in particular N Wales / Cumbria or Peak District.

I have a lurcher and loves to come along so looking for people who are happy with dogs or have dogs themselves.

I have my own transport so can get about. Ideally someone who is local to me so we can meet up regularly when weather is good! I'm 15-20 minutes from Telford and Stafford (traffic depending of course!)

I have done quite a bit of walking...and able to do quite a bit; but any level of walk good even if just to stroll the dogs. Don't mind the odd shower, but setting off in heavy rain afraid the dog wont do!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Carlisle.

My Message: Hi there, I live near the lake district and love walking but prefer to walk with company. I'm about to join a group but would prefer to walk with just a small group or one or two people. I'm available Fridays and some weekends and would love to explore the lakes more and regain more confidence on the fells again. I've done 72 Wainwrights over the years, the West Highland Way and bits of the Pennine Way, Cumbria Way and South Coast Path. Love a challenge, all kinds of weather and interesting company. Good wishes.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Ferndown.

My Message: Hi, I'm new to the site. I'm single and live in East Dorset, close to the Hampshire border and the New Forest. I'm looking for female walking companions to share walks in the local countryside and the Dorset / Hampshire coastline although happy to go further afield occasionally. I work from home much of the week so can do shorter walks in the late afternoon /evening at this time of the year or longer walks at weekends. Happy to combine the walking with a pub meal or glass of beer / wine etc. I Like to stop and take photos occasionally and enjoy the views and wildlife and keep fit in a nicer environment than the gym!

My Message: Looking for female walkers and/or small groups - I am living just north of Liverpool. I used to be pretty fit - bagged a few Munros in my time - but need to get some miles on my legs again so am looking at the moment for shorter but frequent walks to get my fitness back, to be followed by "proper" walks in the north/west of England.

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: Hi,

I'm a 32 year old asian female, just from the outskirts of Birmingham.

I am looking for walking buddies to experience more of the outdoors with, long walks, hill walks, mountains, day ways, weekend walks, challenges etc.

I am just getting my fitness back after being ill for a period but in the past I have undertaken the likes of Snowdon and Cadir idris in wales, many walks in wales and the peak district, shropshire hills etc.

I would like to get back into my passion and also make new friends as existing friends have gone abroad to live and work.

I am able to drive to locations, pick ups etc if you dont own your own car to beable to go on long walks, or if you have to leave the car to the partner for the day!

I am keen to train up to do the National Three Peaks challenge so anyway wishing to help me or looking to embark on this, do get in touch! Or if you are already training, again, would love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading my message :)

Rea

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Maidenhead.

My Message: I’m from the Maidenhead area and am looking for a female friend for walking and hiking in the Welsh mountains, Cumbria or Scotland, although if you have other areas to visit, then that’s ok by me. Being in my mid fifties, male, I have been walking from many years enjoying the outdoor life and am able to set up comfortable base camps on overnighters. If you require a refresher course on map and compass navigation I’ll be happy to help. I have climbed Snowdon, Cader Iris. Pen y fan and Cairngorm this winter with lots of snow. If you would like to join me for any hill walking please let me know. Andrew

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Whitley Bay.

My Message: Hi I am a keen walker who prefers not to follow a ramble but to go off the beaten track or do hill walking. I have climbed Ben Nevis, Snowdonia and most of the big Cumbrian hills and peaks. I am looking for males who would like to walk at weekends only and can be the navigator as my map reading skills are poor (Dsylexic!). I have my own transport and willing to do the driving as long as we share the diesel. (No dogs please as its a new car). My other interests are cinema and film making, travelling, eating out and gadgets!
I had a walking partner but due to health reasons he is no longer able to walk with me. Please get in touch and we can plan a yomp.
