I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Ellesmere Port.

My Message: Male, 63 looking for anyone to accompany me on walks mainly around N.Wales. Regular weekly walks up Moel Fammau if that's of any interest. Self employed, so reasonably flexible. I'm not the quickest as I've got ms, (not disabled) but will take on virtually anything from a disused railway track to a mountain. Lake District beckons at the end of November, as I'm marshalling on an annual car rally in Grizedale Forest on the Saturday, which usually involves staying over for a mountain walk on the Sunday. Need to get Crib Goch and Tryfan done if anyone has experience please. As an alternative, if anyone has or knows of a dog owner whose pooch isn't getting enough exercise, then I may be willing to have him or her as company instead! Colin

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Newport, Isle Of Wight.

My Message: Married man, 60's, ex-RN Serviceman, who maintains fitness through regular walking, seeks walking partners who would enjoy casual days out on an exchange basis, between his home area of the Isle of Wight, and their home area too! Preference for responses from married couples, or married solos, in the age range of 40 - 70 years, but all responses or replies from anyone wishing to make contact will be cordially acknowledged, thank you! A leisure walker who enjoys photography, nature and scenic contemplation, as well as pleasant and interesting conversation whilst out and about, I would be happy to exchange and share some acquaintance e. mail correspondence prior to meeting, as well as providing a photograph too, if desired! Will be delighted to introduce new friends to the scenic pleasures and interests of the varied Island countryside and coastal vistas, as well as also enjoying and learning more about their home areas too! Able to arrange weekday meetings, but Saturdays only at weekends, owing to Sunday commitments. Thank you very much for patiently reading this introductory and genuine request, and I will patiently anticipate and welcome any kind replies. With my appreciation, from Maurice. :-)

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Nr Bourton On The Water Glos.

My Message: Hi all... Looking for some walking company male/female in the Glos/Oxford area.
Have always enjoyed the out doors and have taken up walking quite seriously over this past year for health reasons ( diabetic type 2 ). Have done Pemb coast path, not all at once I hasten to add, Peny Fan and bits of the South West coast path, Malvern Hills plus many of the local walks where I live. Would love to do Snowden in the near future but not that experienced with map and compass as yet but practising and improving every time Im out.Using a Garmin GPS when compass work goes T*Ts up ( not got lost yet, thankfully ). I work shifts, working most week ends, the week ends Im off I spend time with my partner, she has no real interest in walking at all. Most of my free time is in the week, 4 complete days off together so plenty of time for walking. Woud be prepared to travel, car share, expenses etc.
I'm 5ft 5ins ( just ) and have a Noir sense of humour, so if you like good food, posh Italian, or just a plain bacon sarnie, good conversation ( I like to put the world right ) art,(Salvador Dali and Georgia O'keeffe particular favs) music ( classical, sacred music, dance & trance ) then Id like your walking company.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bristol.

My Message: Hi. I live and work in Bristol. I really enjoy country walks and usually try to get out regularly between work commitments. (I'm self employed so often different times each week) My favourite places to walk are Dartmoor and the Devon/Cornwall coast path. I've almost finished walking the Two Moors Way which I hope to complete over the next few months and then would like to start on the coast path as a long term project. Mostly I walk near Bristol in the Cotswolds/Somerset and very occasionally in the Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley. I'm 51, not good enough with computers to be able to add a photo, but energetic and keen to try some new walks and make some new friends. Not too bad with map reading and prefer to go wrong occasionally than to use GPS - it's more fun with paper and compass! I love picnics, flasks of tea and pub lunches!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Launceston.

My Message: Hello, my name is Adrian. I have spent to long walking on my own, and would love to find someone likeminded to accompany me and my dog snip.
I have tried for many years to get my partner and daughter to come along. Not going to happen.
I'm self-employed so I'm good for short notice and any time walks.
I've spent most of my time walking Dartmoor, but I also used to live in Blackpool, so north Wales and the lake district was my home ground.
My love is long distance walking. Camping is still good for me, but I must admit, the older you get the more BandB s look inviting.

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Reading.

My Message: Hi, I am Liam. I love hiking, and hoping to find a few more walkers out there. I try to spend as much of the summer hiking and have enjoy a good hike up a hill/mountain but also enjoy a relaxed Sunday stroll. I have been all over the UK (Highlands/Lakes/Peaks/Snowdonia etc) and also aboard in Europe. I try to keep active and currently also try to get the gym/run/play football. However, I do like to mix this up with a little walking and try to get outdoors over the weekend/whilst on holiday, and am looking for some company along the way (female preferred ;)). Happy to travel for a decent hike!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Thirsk.

My Message: I'm in the process of trying to form a congenial small group of people (not always easy) who love walking and who would like to meet up for a day's walking on a regular basis, or possibly walk over several days once we get to know each other.

I've recently passed my Silver NNAS (National Navigation Award Scheme) and am already putting it into practice, but at the moment I tend to walk alone - but not through choice. Another plan is to walk the Coast to Coast with a few others next year.

However, I am not a "peak bagger" as my idea of a great walk is not being with hoards of people on a conveyor belt belting up the highest peak and back down again in the fastest time possible. I enjoy walks that take in a variety of scenery and away from the crowds.

So if you're interested I'd love to hear from you.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Sherburn In Elmet (Leeds).

My Message: Hi ! My name is Warren and I am a hill bagger !
The higher the hill the better !
I usually go walking on my own with my dog “Rocky”!
I like a challenge when im walking, I like high hills and steep climbs and I like walking in all weathers !
Recently I have started to walk the Munros my first been An Teallach (via the scary ridge).
I has also climbed Ben Nevis via Carn Mor Dearg and I will be in scotland for a week again from the 11th of October stopping in Fort William and planning to climb all ten of the Munro’s in the "Mamores" region.
I drive a HGV for a large supermarket chain for a living so I work strange shifts and I have a lot of days off in the week but not many weekends off work.
I would like to meet a walking companion male or female that likes visiting the tops of hills. When I go walking I usually walk a circular route of any wear between 7 and 15 miles !
Sometimes after a long hard walk i like a pub dinner and a pint !

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Carlisle.

My Message: I live close to the Lake District and I want to get back out and enjoy the area again. It is always fun to meet new people and it would be good to make new friends whilst doing something I enjoy. My two Alsatians are elderly now and can no longer keep me company but they have done in the past. I presently work shifts as a healthcare assistant and support worker and because of that I can be free during the week or at weekends. I have a sense of humour and a wide range of interests and I am very much a people person. I bike to work and as a lot of my work is physical and I like to think I am fairly fit. Its also nice to enjoy a relaxing drink at the end of a walk. Please get in touch if you have any walks you would like to share. I have put my walks as local to me as I do not have a car at the moment not because I don't want to go anywhere else.

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Lincoln.

My Message: Hi, I'm looking to meet like minded people for mini adventures! I am a very active person, enjoying walking/ hiking, cycling and tennis on a fairly regular basis (around a full time job!) I'm struggling to get together friends, who don't have 'small people' commitments, to join me for walks in the Peaks/ Lake District or any of the other beautiful countryside in the UK.
I don't mind joining a group or any individuals that fancy getting away for a couple of days, either at weekends or during the week. I'm open to camping, hostels, hotels, sleeping under the stars... the bigger the adventure the better!
If your interested in joining me and have a likewise sense of seeing the world, feel free to get in touch! Lyndsey

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Yeovil.

My Message: Hi,
I'm 52 yet young at heart and in body (well, I'd like to think so!) I live with a slightly mad spaniel called Alba (my current walking buddy) and the occasional child when they need to escape London for the countryside. Alba and I would very much like to find some new friends to walk with, locally as well as further afield. I particularly like exploring coastal paths (have walked a small section of the SW coast path whilst on holiday in Sennen Cove this Summer) although woodland walks and moorland rambles are also favourites. I look forward to sharing the walks that I love in my beautiful home county of Somerset and being shown those favourites of my new walking friends. I think I should point out that I'm more of a rambler who welcomes the promise of a pub lunch or cream tea at the end of a spot of moderate exercise... hard core Trekkers might find me a disappointing partner therefore!
Angie.
PS: Alba would like a walking partner too, but she's equally happy with either a solo human or one with a canine friend :)

My Message: Hi, my name is Frantz. I am based in York and looking for new walking friends, male or female, age unimportant. I will walk anywhere but am also open to suggestions. Would be nice to meet someone who could help me brush up on my map reading skills. I drive and am self employed so i can walk most days. Enjoy walking and cycling, going to Snowdon on 20 September 2014 and the surrounding area, like to go walking regularly. Did the summit of Hedgehope Hill and surrounding area this year, quite an achievement. Would like company to share and enjoy the adventure oh and I am happy to camp too.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hereford.

My Message: Hi there, I'm new to the site, and fairly new to walking. Used to do a lot, and really keenly! Am now what could be termed as 'rusty', but very keen to start serious walking again, both for the company and for the exercise. I'm no good walking alone, and don't have a dog to drag me out and about, so am looking for male/female walkers who enjoy a good chat whilst they walk, and maybe a bite to eat as reward at the end of the trek!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Wednesbury.

My Message: Hi,
My name is Rosemary, 53yrs old and I'm a novice to walking. I have walked up Snowdon and around the Forest of Dean and Clent Hills and would like to expand my walking adventures. I am a operating theatre sister and do work weekends but also have them off and days off in the week, so can be flexible. I enjoy walking, but not so much fun on your own. I love a challenge, and need a bit of a push at times. So if any one would like to guide me to expanding my walking experiences I would be most grateful.

I am a Walker, in my late 60s, based near Halstead.

My Message: I live in North Essex and initially would like a companion for coastal walking in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk but with opportunities to go further afield and up into the hills in the future. I prefer ambling to route marches as I love looking at the scenery, plants, rocks, wild life etc. as I go. I'm trying to improve my map reading skills as my sense of direction is virtually non-existant (one reason it's good to walk on the coast!) so if planning and map reading are your strengths I'm willing to exploit them.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Eastbourne.

My Message: Hello, my name is Catherine, I'm 37, based in Eastbourne and enjoy exploring the South Downs on a regular basis.
I love the outdoors and keen to get out more than I currently do, so hopefully here I might meet some people who enjoy spending their free time wandering in the countryside, or perhaps getting a bit flushed with something a bit more challenging. I used to live in Scotland and North Yorkshire so not adverse to a bit more of an incline - if a little out of practice!
Due to work and my child I don't have the opportunity to go far afield very often but have plenty of weekends to myself -and there's a lot you can fit into 48 hours when you put your mind to it!

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Stirling.

My Message: Haven't been walking or camping much recently, so need to sort that out! I love travel and the outdoors and also photography, live music, creative writing and other things that remind me I'm alive and not to waste a moment.

At the moment I am able to walk long winding tracks more than uphill adventures but have a few munros under my belt. Would be happy to find interesting lads and lassies to meander with.

I manage a charity project and I'm divorced. I love Wainrights books and ramblings.

Feel free to get in touch, I am a good person and hopefully will make you smile if nowt else!

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Preston.

My Message: Hi, I'm Ant.

I've been a semi-regular day hiker for a while now, but have recently started to go out on the hills more frequently. I mostly walk around my local area (Lancashire) or the Lake district, but occasionally venture off to the Yorkshire Dales. Not many of my friends hike, and those that do are often busy when I'm free and v. v. - I'm quite happy to walk solo, but would prefer not to do so all of the time ;), and yes I've tried rambling clubs, but find them a little inflexible.

I haven't done much camping, but have really enjoyed what little I have done and would love to do more.

I'd say my navigation skills are average, but there's definitely room for improvement.

I'm ideally looking to meet someone around my local area, but anyone willing to travel to the Lakes or Dales is welcome also. I have a car, so the Peak District is also in reach. If you're only interested in day hikes that's fine, but (wild) camping is also something I'd like to do more of, so let me know if you do to. Age or gender isn't a factor, and am also happy to meet up with couples/hiking partners for 3-4 man walks.

Hope to hear from ya!
