I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Nottingham.

My Message: Hello there, my name is Christine and I love walking. I like to walk anything between 8-12 miles every Sunday and at least once mid-week. I love the Peak district, but will walk anywhere within a couple of hours drive of Nottingham and where there is interesting scenery as I always have my camera with me. I don't really like walking alone so tend to walk with organised groups. My motto is, you can't walk too often or have too many friends - Come and join me!

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Chelmsford.

My Message: Hello. I live in Essex where the main challenge in the winter is the mud! I walk regularly with a walking group but am looking for a male companion to share walks in a different way:-to plan the walk together, to discover the wonderful British countryside and wildlife, to chat and laugh along the way, to stop and look when and if you want, to have time to take photographs and at the end of the day to collapse into the teashop or pub. Although much maligned Essex has a very varied landscape with the estuaries and their big skies quite stunning but no hills that I've noticed! Last year I did some walking on the SW Coastal Path which was spectacular but challenging - up and down all the way. I'm happy with most reasonable distances and particularly like the prospect of completing a long distance trail - possibly in stages depending on the length. That said I'd be happy to walk almost anywhere! If you think you might be interested please get in touch.

My Message: Female walker, 69, based near Falmouth

H, I am fairly fit, active, young-at-heart and my dog and I would really enjoy some company on our jaunts. I have a Campervan and when I am not sailing I like going off to quiet places such as Exmoor, Dartmoor and Brecon Beacons Hobbies include sailing and kayaking up the creeks, photography, wildlife, exploring the great outdoors, with picnics or Pub lunches. So if you are dog-friendly and would like to meet up for a walk please get in touch.

My Message: Hi, I'm known by my friends as Henry. I'm a fit outdoor type aged 59. I can still walk 12 miles or more in a day. I like cycling and walking. I have walked the North downs way, up to Machu Picchu and the coast path from Minehead to Plymouth as my most memorable long distance walks. Looking for a companion to walk with for the company and the conversation, also to share the experience of new walks. Would like to complete the South Downs way and walk more of the coast paths.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Sudbury.

My Message: Hello.
I haven't ticked the later walk codes as there are no mountains in Suffolk that I've noticed. (It's not that I can't do them or don't want to). There are however some lovely places to walk given a bit of plan. If there are 2 of us and 2 cars then we can maybe leave a car in an end place if a circular route won't work. I'm often free on a Sunday and sometimes during the week if work allows. I have a walking mate who calls me a mountain goat. I'm still trying to work out if she's being rude or polite. My work is farming and conservation based. The countryside is my passion.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Hereford.

My Message: Hi, I am a lively 60+ Hereford based ceramic artist. Rusty fine weather walker. Not into 'collecting'
walks, route marches or yomping, but very much into seeing the landscape. Looking for
interesting companion for conversation and appreciation of nature, not averse to pub and tea stops.
Ready to stand and stare. I am in love, in particular, with the Pembrokeshire coast, and love the Welsh coast and landscape. Would prefer a male walking companion.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Luton.

My Message: Hi - my name's Mark: I enjoy wandering around the Herts/Beds/Bucks area (further afield too from time to time), but it can be a bit solitary solo so I'm looking for others of a similar age to share walks with (but definitely not large groups); I walk in most weather. These aren't route marches, and I stop frequently to look at things - wildlife or landscape or simply to just appreciate and soak up the surroundings. They may also involve pub lunches or picnics. Various bits of me creak more than they should, so the walks tend to be limited to between 5 and 10 miles. I'm not super-fit, I just love being with trees, fields etc. My free time is generally during the week.

I'm 59, fairly recently retired, ex aviation industry, married with grown-up offspring. Interests include aviation, history, live music and travelling. I'm happiest near rivers or the coast, not something Bedfordshire's very well-known for!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bristol.

My Message: Based in Bristol. I used to be very fit, walking and cycling every day. However, I'm working from home these days and suddenly piling on the pounds. Help! I would love to get fit again in the company enthusiastic walkers, male or female. I'm interested in making good friends, but am too used to the single life for a relationship. For the purposes of harmonious conversation, I'm an atheist and a bit of a liberal who wobbles with age into grumpiness. I love literature, writing, travel (especially Italy) and the English countryside and England, but NOT in a UKIP way.

I can make my own hours, so am available weekdays as well as weekends.

I am a Walker, in my late 60s, based near Norwich.

My Message: Retired 69-going-on-35 male ex teacher with caravan, tent, time and enthusiasm!

Looking to meet up with a compatible walker or two for friendship and shared trips. Currently working on Administrative County Tops (4 to do), Wainwrights (about 20 to do) and Munros (144 done). Also often fly to Mallorca, Madeira, Morocco for a walking break.

Have no commitments or baggage, so can take off for the hills at little or no notice.

Happy to walk solo on the hills, but would prefer company and someone to share the views. Someone also retired would be great. Oh and non-smoker and dog-free!

You don't have to be round East Anglia, I spend a lot of time in other parts of the country with my trusty little caravan, so could be anywhere, really. Do drop me a line...., you never know.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lyndhurst /Exmoor.

My Message: Hi I am a fairly fit heterosexual lady who would love to find a walking companion. I run a pub in the New Forest which is when I walk daily with my dogs but I spend alot of my time in Exmoor on my days off, where I also walk. I tend to walk much longer walks down there as obviously I have more time. I love taking time out to explore new areas especially Scotland which I have visited a lot but find it a bit lonely on my own all the time. I love staying in my camper in remote places and travelling around discovering new places in the British Isles. I would obviously like to meet the love of my life but to find a likewise person who is bright, loves the countryside, can cope with my dogs and enjoys walking with me would be great. I can walk up to 8 /10 miles easily and love picnics, or a visit to a pub. Anyone that would like to meet for a walk in the New Forest or Exmoor (or anywhere really.. there are so many places to see) please get in touch. I run from my pub a dog walk on the 1st Sunday in the month. Feel free anyone with a mut that would like to come along.
