I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Near Blairgowrie.

My Message: Hi, I'm a 50 something! bloke that loves walking, we are not talking mountain climbing here, just nice easy to strenuous walks. I keep fairly fit and walk/cycle whenever I can. I used to take my dog with me everywhere, but sadly I lost my old faithful friend a couple of weeks ago, so if you have a dog that's great. I am self employed and can go out and about more or less whenever the urge takes me! I am looking for a female walking companion, because walking with somebody to chit chat to is a lot more fun. I am no orienteering expert and tend to rely on idiot guides, being an idiot I find them simple to follow!! I live in the blairgowrie area.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Harrowgate.

My Message: Hi

I have recently moved to the area and would like to meet someone to share a walk, chat and company around the Dales. I have an interest in photography. I can navigate but don't have maps so I would be willing to help somebody who would like to learn.

I have previously walked extensively with a group but things change, Also I have done some long distance walking in Spain, Caminos many of them some not so well known, and the Frankenweg more recently!

No longer as fit as before, I like the heat but I miss the company of somebody to walk with, and with some time to spend, I seek a walking buddy (M/F) who would like to share the GR 48 in Andalucia an easy walk with no much climbing, just the great Spanish culture, history and food. An adventure possibly for somebody who seeks that type of challenge. This is not a camping trip unless somebody wants it, because I like my comforts.
If the GR 48 does not suit then there would be other European options.

Thanks for reading this.
John

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near London.

My Message: Hi Fellow walkers,

I'm seeking a companion(s) who are happy to go for a day's walk at a relaxed steady pace. I go out for at least one long walk most weekends and look to cover between 10 to 20 miles (occasionally a bit more) depending on the terrain. Sometimes it's a walk along the Thames path and on other occasions I get on a train and head for the countryside or the coast and where possible have a pint of local ale before jumping on the train back to London.

Once or twice a year I plan to walk a Long distance path booking BandB's on the route. Also I'm doing a 100km walk (London to Cambridge) in August so will be looking to explore the route over the summer months.

By nature I'm easy going and quite quiet and don't mind listening if you like to chat the day away.

If you would like to tag along feel free to contact me to arrange a day out.

Regards Graham

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Peterborough.

My Message: Hi, My name is Rob and I live in Peterborough. I'm easy going and love good conversation, interested in all sorts of things and always interested to learn. I used to be a member of a local club but the large numbers and the clickyness (is that a word) that you seemed to get, put me off. I love walking in Derbyshire and the lakes. I have climbed the old man at Coniston and two years ago did Tyfan in Wales by the North face (although to be honest I was out of my comfort zone at times). The club I was in regualary did 10-13 miles walks but I havent' done this for a year or two so might have to build up the distance again. I would love to meet up with like minded females/males to get back into walking again at weekends as I work all week. I have a reliable car and dont mind travel as long as theirs a pint at a local pub at the end of the walk! I have basic map reading although very rusty and would like to get better at this again. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

My Message: Hello I'm Phil and I love walking. I frequently walk on The Ridgeway at weekends, visit the Lake District and Scotland about four times a year and always plan a big walk during my long summer holidays. In 2013 I completed the Camino Frances all the way to Fisterra in 35 days and last summer walked Bonn Hommes Route in the Pyrenees from Berga to Foix. I'm looking for a walking companion who is adventurous, cheerful loves life and the outdoors.

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Carlisle.

My Message: Hi I'm a 32 year old male who loves walking in the lakes, haven't walked anywhere else yet, but would do. It was a friend who got me into walking in the lakes and I love it, unfortunately my pal has gone off traveling now, and nobody else I know likes walking in the hills. I started trying to do all the wainwrights and I've done about 30 of them, and some of them 4or 5 times over. I've done a few hills on my own since, but it's just not the same on your own, hence why I'm here now, If you think you'd be up for some lakes adventures, drop me a message and we can talk about it!!

I am a Walker, in my late 60s, based near Stratford Upon Avon And Snowdonia.

My Message:
Hi, I am Vera.
I have recently joined this site hoping to find equally minded walking companions, male or female to share some good walks and lovely countryside.
I walked most of the mountains in Snowdonia till a riding accident smashed one of my legs. This was five years ago, and I have managed to walk myself into some fitness again, though some steep terrain is no longer possible. However, having taken up cycling and gentler walking I still enjoy the outdoors.
I walk a lot on my own since I lost my lovely four legged companion two years ago.
Map reading is not one of my talents.
I travel quite a lot as I like to cycle abroad and am lucky to speak 5 European languages.
Anybody interested in meeting up?

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi, I love to walk but don’t do enough, mainly because I no longer have a dog. I've climbed a few mountains in my time both at home and abroad and would dearly love to get back out there and share the joy with an interesting companion.

I run a consultancy business and have lots of interests from cooking to publishing and am interested in just about everything as long as it's not a long moan about politics. If you happen to be a male who's good company, likes to have fun with an optimistic attitude and a reasonable sense of direction (mine isn't the best but I could knock up decent rations if we get stuck…) and if our walks end up with a drink and bite to eat in the pub, I'm a happy bunny. I drive and can make time whether weekend or weekdays.

My Message: Hi, my name is Peter and I am seeking a female walking companion. I currently walk around the Pendle, Ribble Valley areas as well as doing either one, two, or three of the Yorkshire peaks. It is a little monotonous to say the least when out on your own. I would love some company to make the pastime more enjoyable.
I would also like to do more of the Lake District this coming year, and maybe further afield.
