I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near South Yorks.
My Message: Hi, I love the outdoors but not done much for a few years due to other priorities in life so starting again, ideally would like to join a new or existing small group of walkers m/f or female walkers who would like company....have previously done the large group walks and not enjoyed this, I'm only available for weekday walks because of shift working which doesn't help i know.
Any distance is fine, easy to get on with...happy to talk but also happy to keep quiet and let the walk do the talking so to speak, happy to join in with a tea or pub stop as well.
Any questions feel free to ask...so what's stopping you ?

My Message: Male walker 60 based in Harrogate
Hi, I'm Tony looking for a walking companion. I have a strong appreciation of the countryside and nature, and particularly enjoy fell walking. I regularly walk in the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and parts of Scotland. I haven't been active on this site for quite a while now but am now ready to get going again. I would like to meet a like-minded female walker, and would love to hear from you.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Solihull.
My Message: Hi there, my name is David and I'm 57 years old. I enjoy walking alone but would also like to walk with one or a few other people. I tend to do walks of 5-8 miles, not too strenuous but I would like to start to increase my range and fitness. I am looking for people to walk with on weekdays, as my weekends are usually busy, and I walk then with my wife. I am pretty much retired now and have time on my hands during the week. I am happy to travel further afield so get in touch if this suits. I don't care what age you are, or what sex. I would hope that you are friendly and have a sense of humour, and aren't too intense!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Stockbridge.
My Message: Hello not much warning on this one. New to this site etc. Mullardoch Round Scotland see on web. I have time off between May 16-25 will be doing a cycle trek and ridge walk. I hope to use the bike to get into Glen Strathfarra and do Scurr Na Lapaich and others along the ridge and get back to the bike to get round to Glen Affric and climb Carn Eige and others along second ridge and get back to bike and complete the 80 - 90 mile loop. Sounds mad but have done the trek and ride seperately before. Very enjoyable with some great bothies and wild camps. This is very minimalist so not much clobber etc.
If anyone is interested please let me know and I would appreciate the company or small group. Please ask questions I would be glad to share on this type of thing by combining cycling and trekking.
Best regards Ian

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Cleethorpes.
My Message: Hi, my name is Paul and I am looking for someone to go walking with. I have recently started walking again and have been walking mostly on my own up to around 15 miles. I have been solely walking in Lincolnshire at the moment building myself up to doing bigger and harder walks. I love walking so I am happy doing a short few miles or being challenged to do something bigger. I am finding it difficult to find someone that actually likes walking!. It would be nice to meet someone to do some of this walking with and push each other on to more challenging walks. I look forward to hearing from you, Paul.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Warwickshire.
My Message: I have done a lot of walking over the years both in the UK and abroad and retired so lots more time available now. My local area is the Cotswolds but I often walk in Wales, Derbyshire and the Lake District. I have completed part of the South West coast path and would like to do more. I particularly enjoy walking in the hills, coastal walking and walking a reasonable distance. Although I walk with various groups of friends regularly they are not always free or inclined to walk further from home. I have only marked a few areas as I would be willing to walk almost anywhere.
I look forward to finding new companions, particularly for the SWC path.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near London.
My Message: Reliving my passion for walking in the country side. As I am now registerd Blind I find it's not so easy for filling my love of walking. A keen rambler for many years I have a yearn to get out and about again and take in the beautiful creation that surrounds us. I am looking to make a couple of friends to come rambling. I'm living in London and need to get out from time to time.
I thought up to about 10+ miles would be a good starting distance. I can help with some travel expenses if we need a train. I am up for a pint, or tea, or my favoured place for a break is a bite to eat in the middle of nowhere propped up against a log or wall.
If you walk with a group or by yourself it would be great to hear from you.
If you think you can assist or have any ideas, just let me know and if you need any more information about me just ask, we'll see ware it takes us. Al

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Poynton.
My Message: Hi,
My name is Keith and I'm looking for a female walking companion to show me walks in the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Peak District. Ideally around 40 years old. I'm happily married so this is strictly walking. I work full time but have my own car. I've climbed Helvellyn 5 times so far this year which has been quite an experience with the snow. Did the fifth on 27/03/15. I can take holidays from work at short notice, I don't have a lot of holiday allowance but a good walk would be worth the sacrifice. I've done Great Gable, Skiddaw, Blencathra, Dale Head, Fleetworth Pike, Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Conistan Old Man and Ben Nevis. I'm not confident at heights or on edges so haven't attempted Striding Edge. If you fancy showing me a new walk, please reply

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Lichfield.
My Message: Hi
Tall, active, easy going and socially confident guy looking to meet walking companions, for anything from seven to ten miles in the Peak District, Staffordshire or Shropshire.
My name is Steve and thanks for reading my message. Been trying to keep fit during the winter with Boxercise and Racketball and now ready to get on those hills especially during the week having recently taken voluntary redundancy from employment. No route marches for me but a good pace taking in the views, preferably with a coffee on the way and a pint and food at the end!!
I have walked in the Lake and Peak District conquering a few peaks on the way and have booked a weekend to climb Snowdon in June but happy to consider any.
So if you are up to meeting up, especially during the week then please get in touch.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Warrington.

My Message: Hi there,
I am 40 years of age, I love walking but haven't done any for some time. I am looking for female and male friends to have a nice walk with in and around the North West (or further afield) I am free mainly at the weekends as I have a very busy professional working life during the week.
My friends don't like walking so much and I find it really sad that they miss out on such a lot of beauty that our country and region offers. I have just come out of a relationship so I really am just looking for good company and friendship, along side some fab walking and chilling!
A little bit about me, I love to travel, I love food, I love eating out, I love having a beer and like having a few laughs along the way. I am a very considerate person and prefer smaller groups rather than big walking groups. I love walking off the beaten track and ending up in a lovely country pub for some hearty food!
I love walking in the countryside, the seaside, the lakes, canals and even urban walking. I need to get my fitness levels up again, but can walk 7 miles on the flat at the moment. I have climbed some mountains, but for me, walking is about taking in the scenery, not the bagging of peaks or getting there the quickest or doing the longest walk.
Anyway, if you are free and you want to walk some time, I'd love to meet you.
Cheers!

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Newcastle.
My Message: Hi I'm Dave, an active 43 yr old looking for walking/camping companions both male and female. I have been walking for quite a few years now, mainly in Northumberland, Lake District and Scotland. I am pretty well experienced and know my way around quite a few places. Working offshore gives me a lot off time off to venture off into the great outdoors, there's nothing better. I am very interested in trying out some wild camping, hoping to do it very soon in fact, so if anyone is looking for company give me a shout, I have never tried it but I am in the process of getting the kit together.
I am married with 2 children, my 8 yr old boy is already into Wainwright double figures, he often joins me and is great company on the fells.
I also enjoy cycling, running and would try most outdoor activities. If you are interested in joining me for a hike or a wild camp please get in touch.
Many thanks.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Stirling.
My Message: Hi, I'm looking for company, male or female, on walks locally or further afield, weekend breaks or walking holidays.
I enjoy hills and flat walks of any distance, also cycling (off road), and usually have a couple of dogs tagging along. Scrambling is always a challenge I'm up for, but not anything too scary, not keen on massive drops!
I'm keen to do more long distance, multi day walks, preferably with BandB or hostel/bunkhouse accommodation. I've done a few Explore walking holidays, which have been great fun, and I'd love to try some of the cycling holidays or self guided walks abroad.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Solihull.
My Message: Hi everyone,
My friends and I are seeking new friends to walk with in Wales or Shropshire, we are all hardy walkers and capable of trekking 18 miles + and mountain terrain. What we are in need of though is friends with map reading skills. We are able to travel together over to Wales and love nothing more than exploring the mountains in this region.
We are members of a local social club who arrange regular walks but often we require a more challenging hike in beautiful scenery.
Please get in touch if you are interested.
If you are interested in meeting up for a walk please let me know.
Debbie

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Chulmleigh.
My Message: Hi folks,
I live in North Devon and I'm looking for someone - primarily - who would like to join me on Dartmoor for either day-walks or backpacking trips/wild camping, though fully prepared to go further afield.
I have a fair knowledge of Northern Dartmoor and am fully able to get lost there with the best of them!
I suppose I could call myself a Mountaineer. I've climbed and walked in the Himalayas, Caucusses, Pyrenees, North Africa and the Andes (they're at the end of your armies) and have been wandering around the UK mountains since childhood. I'm also an average mountain-biker (in that I fall off frequently). Quite keen on Via Feratta too.
I like to think that I'm relatively fit, and would be happy with walks of any distance.
Oh, and my name's John. If all this doesn't put you off nothing will!

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Aberdeen City.

My Message: Hello,
My names is James and I am a Scot. I live and work in Aberdeen.
Synopses of my out-door life:-
Been walking and hiking all over Scotland for the past years. I normally try and get away as much as possible, both winter and summer. I have a Camper-van that I take with me every-time I can get away.
My plans are usually structured in a pattern that involves getting to the location of the climb, park-up Hovis (camper-van) and start the climb. I normally try and ensure that the route will take in a night or two of - wild camping under a canvas - listening to a menacingly howling gale on the outside while quietly thinking (praying) "have I hammered my tent pegs in the ground well-enough to out-last the storm on the outside:) I also use Bothy's if they are on my route, and - hope when I stumble across one that there is stone fireplace inside, where I can try and get a fire up and running - and hopefully try and get the surrounding stone warm enough for some heat-retention that might last the night. I also try and structure a night in my plan to factor in a bunk-house and / or Youth-Hostel. After my climb I head back to my start position, pick up Hovis and head away to the next random location. I spent a few weeks last year in Skye doing exactly this, however-I still never achieve all my ambitions that this truly beautiful location has to offer. My plan this year 2015 is to go back and carry on where I left off.
The type of person that I enjoy spending my time with on this wonderful pursuit is a person that is:- full of life, and is not put off with some rough days of challenging Scottish weather. In addition to this, I would like to get some addition wild camping experience in with someone who also enjoys battling the elements.
I have various interests which range from Genetics to how the universe operates and the day to day challenge we have to overcome each day of this amazing world we all live in. I also enjoy the company of people who specialise in all aspects of things outdoors. Geology along with the basics of human Physiology also interest me.
So if you are up for cold weather, a night or two in my camper, the odd Bothy, bunkhouse and youth-hostel or sitting on top of the Cuillins watching the sun go down please let me know and we can perhaps arrange to share some truly amazing events that we receive as gifts from an entity we call nature. A force that shares - each and every day of this vast structure of our planet we all live on.
Motto:- There is no such thing as bad weather, only inadequate clothing :)
Thanks James.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Ely.
My Message: Hi.
I live near Ely, Cambridgeshire and I'm looking for female walking friends to enjoy the great outdoors with. I'm thinking about local walks to start with, just looking for company and intelligent conversation whilst walking my dog...
I'm fairly fit and used to doing local walks of 1-2 hours, but I am not a 'serious' walker. However, I do love the outdoor life and would be interested in exploring further afield and doing longer walks one day with someone who knows what they are doing and knows how to read a map!
I am a professional working within the NHS, although I have most weekends free. My main interests are exploring and walking the dog (whether locally or further afield) horses and dancing.
I hope to hear from like minded new friends soon.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Carlisle.
My Message: Hi, I am Simon a 55 year old male from Carlisle. I love the outdoors and the hills and mountains in particular. I live close to the Lakes which I adore, but my greatest passion is for the Scottish Highlands, in particular the far north west, with Skye and Torridon being my favourites. I have to confess to being a 'bagger. ' I also enjoy a good scramble. However, I enjoy shorter and less strenuous walks along glens and valleys and along beaches and headlands.
I am out in the Lakes regularly and go to the Highlands as often as I can. I have made a number of bothy and camping trips, as well as staying in hostels and B and B's. The odd foray to Snowdonia has usually met with bad weather, but I live in hope.
I am looking for a female who enjoys exploring the wild and beautiful mountainous areas of our islands, and shares my passion for reaching the top.
