I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hinckley, Leics.

My Message: Hi, my names Paul and I'm looking for someone who is adventurous, fun and would like to go on short or long hikes. Short country walks to a country pub for food and drinks are as much my cup of tea as are the more challenging long distance trails.
I like taking photos and chatting with strangers along the way, generally having a laugh and enjoying the great outdoors. I'm currently trying my hand at landscape water colour painting if you can give me some tips? In return I can safely navigate you from A-B without fear of getting lost!
I can go walking almost any day of the week as my work is flexible, although I have to work a lot of weekend dates so weekdays would be best.
The Peak District is a big favourite of mine because it's close to home but love the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes, but would walk anywhere new and interesting. Would be interested in walking in Italy as I've just got the guide books and it looks amazing!
So if you'd like to have your own sherpa, tour guide and some fun along the way drop me a line

I am a Walker, in my late 60s, based near Taunton.
My Message: I now live in Somerset, have recently acquired a rescue Labrador and am looking for a walking and talking companion. I am a fit, young 68 year old and, whilst I confess to not being an experienced walker I would love to take it up on a regular basis.
I am extremely well travelled worldwide, many years in the travel and hospitality industries, have lived abroad for most of my life (am fluent in French, German and Spanish now rusty). However, there are parts of the U. K. that are foreign to me and I would love to change that. If you are up for the challenge, do get in touch.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shoreham By Sea.
My Message: Hello I am currently walking sections of the South West Coast path. I have walked from Poole to Hartland Quay so far. 514 miles down and 116 miles to go. I am walking for four days from the 28th July from Hartland Quay to Barnstaple. A good mix of four days walking. I am walking 3 days with another member of this site but the more the merrier. I am particularly keen to find someone to walk on Monday 31st July from Clovelly to Hartland Quay as there are only a few buses and two cars would be good as I am walking on my own that day. Please get in contact if you would like to join me. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Stoke On Trent.
My Message: Prefer to walk in smaller than larger groups, so looking to make acquaintance of both Men and Women as walk companions. Have very recently walked 16+ miles around Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, but happier generally with around 10 to 12 miles. Part-retired and only work 3 days a week now (the one consolation of getting older I have found) so available Thursday to Sunday. Have my own car. Preferred walking areas/counties are just the most accessible from where I live in Stoke on Trent, but open to other venues which might need an overnight stop or a weekend away

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shaftesbury.
My Message: Hi, I'm married to a lovely man, but he doesn't like walking. I have set myself the target of walking the SW Coastal Path, and have completed the first 70 or so miles from Minehead, alone, but would much prefer to be with other(s), from a safety point of view and generally having company. I like to do 8-13 miles a day, and enjoy the occasional cuppa along the way/something stronger on completion maybe. I think I'm easy going, pretty bad at map reading (attending a course soon), have a sense of humour and enjoy a bit of a challenge. In the future, I would like to do many other National Trails, and am happy to find accommodation for longer stints away. My puppy may want to join in at some point, so would prefer a dog lover, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would be delighted to be contacted by men or women of any age and enjoy a pace of 2. 5-3. 5 miles per hour, according to terrain.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Sherborne.

My Message: Hi, I'm Paul and I'm aiming to walk the South West Coast Path in bite size sections over the next few years - already done a few sections in Dorset and Devon. Many years ago I used to be able to do up to 25 miles a day (pre Peru trek training!) but now seem to have been pegged back to 8-10 miles; hoping to improve this.
Looking for interesting people to walk with (be it someone who wants to walk the whole path or just someone who is happy to join me as and when); ideally someone who can walk at a moderate pace (I'm 6 foot with a reasonably long stride) and who also enjoys a drink/light meal midway or at the end.
Work is flexible so can do weekday and weekend (primarily Sunday) walks; maybe the odd overnight stop. I have a partner who pursues her own sporting interests (horse riding). I don't always have access to transport but am reasonably well located to use trains and buses.

I am a Walker, in my early 70s, based near Ledbury.
My Message: Hi,
I'm Colin, and there is so much of the three counties (Hereford / Worcester / Glos) countryside waiting to be found and savoured, that I just know that without a companion to set some days with, they'll remain unexplored.
So I'm relying on some like minded soul to help me to rescue my best intentions and enjoy a gentle countryside walk or even a ramble over the Beacons.
And me?
Well, I continue to work in the forest world and won't see 70 again, but this is no deterrent as I keep fit by cycling, playing tennis & badminton plus a enjoyment of orienteering. My ever (mostly) patient wife of some 37 years sadly does not share my enthusiasm for stretching the joints, but is quite relaxed about finding a companion - a situation which has worked well in the past.
Keeping my fingers x'ed......

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hebden Bridge.
My Message: Hi there. Recently really started to enjoy walking, trying to do the 1000 mile challenge this year, phew !
Walk with my labrador and so far we have done 1/2 of the pennine way ( I live 200 yards off it ). Just doing day walks, cant be bothered with camping as I'd have take about 5 kilos of dog food as well.
We're off to Middleton in Teesdale during June to try and add more miles conquered on the Way. Looking for someone to share day walks all over the place really, between 6 and 15 miles are our norm. Have tried a couple of walking groups, but think I may have been unlucky as they all seemed very retentive ( if you get my meaning) about their walks. I just want to enjoy the views, the countryside, take lots of photos and see new places. So if you're anywhere near Hebden Bridge then please get in touch. Many thanks for looking.

I am a Walker, in my early 70s, based near Barrow-in-furness.
My Message: Hello
I am looking for walking companions for walks fairly local to me.... Cumbria and Lancashire.... quite willing to travel further if I find a walking companion who travels at the same speed as I do!!!! Would love to do a longer walk at a slow pace.. stopping at places of interest... but hey I am getting ahead of myself.
Can only manage 5-6 miles these days have done 10 this year but really too much and I suffer the next day.
My walks are more enjoyable if done at pace where the scenery can be enjoyed and a route march is not a necessity. Can do hills but only with poles and it takes me a while to get down again.....
So if you feel that you could put up with me on your walks please contact me....
Updated as I have had knee surgery at the end of last year.....still do 5 miles and still love to get out on the low fells...or seeing interesting places - like Malham cove...
Regards
Lilian

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Huddersfield.
My Message: Hi
My name's Kate and I'm really interested in improving my walking skills and seeing and enjoying much more of the outdoors, both at weekends and also when I'm free mostly at weekends but sometimes during the week. I'd really like to try new walks and challenges, beginning in the places I've mentioned. I would enjoy some company for this and to maybe have time to have a drink/coffee and chat with, at the end of a walk. I am very interested in meeting people to walk with who might introduce me to new walks, but in a low key, not too serious way. I hope to find folk who want to try regular outings for fun and adventure and to take in as much scenery as possible. Please get in touch if any of this this resonates with you. I shall look forward to hearing from you. Kate
