Enjoyable walk along road before ascending up towards Great Cockup. Delightful small shelter dug into ground just before climb to summit. Double top with summit marked with smaller cairn. Easy if not steep descent into Trusmasdor before stiff climb to top of Meal. Characterful fell with basin & three distinct tops marked by cairns & shelter. Highest point nearer Great Sca Fell. Easy walk down & then power climb to Great Sca Fell marked with impressie cairn. Enjoyable bounce across to Little Sca Fell then Brae Fell. Curved back around over Lowthwaite & Longlands before rejoining Cumbria Way to rejoin road back to Over Water. Possible to descend directly down from Longlands to road.

We went wrong around Trusmadoor coming off Gt Cock up which meant we walked around in circles crossing the beck several times! otherwise it was very straight forward. Luckily Kate was there to share navigational thoughts.Finished up at the Farriers Arms in Threlkeld a for beer afterwards.

Low winds. - We made parts up today to get three boxed off which were a distance apart. Still quite boggy in places but not to sink into.

Richard Marchant scaled it on May 8th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Green Head & walked up a track SW to Charleton Wath & then changed direction across the fell ascending Brae Fell. From here carried on up on to Great Sca Fell then proceeded on an up & back trip to Knott. Once back at Great Sca Fell I dropped down & up on to Meal Fell & onwards to Great Cockup. I then proceeded back on the same path I came but took a path south around Meal Fell & circled around to Lowthwaite Fell & on to Longland Fell & back to the car. [with] On my Own [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.

Arrived back at the car park at 1400 hrs. Walked a further 3 miles to the Castle Inn on the A591 for lift to home.
