Following ridge path to top of Ill Bell.Continued steeply down ridge & up again to top of Froswick. Onwards along good path to Thornthwaite Crag. Continued along good path to top of High Street. Had lunch behind wall. This is furthest point from car & had completed 6 miles.Picking up a small path back towards Kentmere soon joined main path to top of Mardale Ill Bell. continued along ridge, dropping down to Nan Bield Pass & turning right down steep path towards Kentmere. continued along main path picking up bridleway & easy paths back to church. 12.34miles with 3,165ft of elevation. [with] With Freya Gray, Jazz and Mya. [weather] Forcast predicted 3 degrees on top. It was a lot colder than that with cutting icy winds on ridge, hail on High Street & Nan Biled Pass into Kentmere. When sun was out you could feel the warmth in it.

We then carried on to Mardale Ill Bell then on to High Street, Rampsgill Head then to Kidsty Pike & then descended to Haweswater & back round to Mardale Head Car Park. [with] Sue and Christine [weather] Dry but low cloud on tops. - Success at second attempt - previously had to turn back due to strong gusts of wind. Visibility restricted due to low cloud, otherwise a very good day. Lunch with a view at shelter at Nan Bield.

Sunny & clear & awesome views on 8/9/15. - Lots of Moorland, feels like a fairly flat walk, sure there were some great views but couldn't see anything :(. Did this walk again on 8/9/15 when it was sunny & clear & started the ascent by Hallow Bank Quarter up to Mardale III Bell & the down via Froswick etc. This is a much better ascent in my opinion but is a long slog for about 5 hours until you hit III Bell. Allow 7 hours for this circular.

Up the Old Copse Road to Selside Pike then across the ridge in a horseshoe to the last Wainwright which was Kidsty pike. [with] We took a Spanish boy called Seb who loved it and introduced him to Tunnock's Caramel Wafers. Oviously Marcus was with me. Navigating in extream conditions! [weather] Weather was good at lake side but deteriorated as we climbed. Visibility was about 40 m on the ridge & the wind was blowing hard at times. - Met two miserable walkers at the Shelter who advised us not to go on top but the wind died down by High street.

[with] Harry Betty Amanda Steve Mark Claire Paul [weather] Bit overcast to start but soon cleared - a great day to be in Lakes. - We were supposed to be going up Bow Fell via slabs but weather overcast further west. This walk was programmed for 17/7 but brought forward. A really hard but good days walking with a lot of laughs. Thornthwaite had to be included as we were there & Ros wasn't.
