Seemed a long, but pleasant walk out along Horsemoor Hills

Richard Marchant summited Knott (Uldale Fells) on May 8th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Green Head & walked up a track SW to Charleton Wath & then changed direction across the fell ascending Brae Fell. From here carried on up on to Great Sca Fell then proceeded on an up & back trip to Knott. Once back at Great Sca Fell I dropped down & up on to Meal Fell & onwards to Great Cockup. I then proceeded back on the same path I came but took a path south around Meal Fell & circled around to Lowthwaite Fell & on to Longland Fell & back to the car. [with] On my Own [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.

Kate Peacock conquered Knott (Uldale Fells) on April 16th, 2022 [from/via/route] Dropped at Mosedale, collected at the bottom of Longlands Fell. We walked up the steep side of Carrock Fell. [with] Me & Sheila [weather] No rain. Winds were increasing at the beginning but dropped at the end. Fair day. Gloves & coat for the top. - The ascent up Carrock Fell was interesting. Thankfully nobody was there to want to be passed. Steep & narrow & fortunately dry otherwise I'm not sure my feet would have been as secure at points. Just beat to get up it, couldn't really hand around. Tops were as expected but quite boggy in parts. First time I've seen a bothy

Erin Ryan scaled Knott (Uldale Fells) on June 22nd, 2021 [from/via/route] Started at Orthwaite Farm as per Wainwrights suggestion. Very difficult to park there. - Felt very long to walk around the great Cockup. Aggressive cattle blocking paths where Hause Gill crosses with Burntodd Gill. Very soggy marshy land around there so need to stick to trails. It got more interesting as I skirted the bottom of Burnt Todd following Hause Gill upstream. You don't see summit of Knott until you are at 600m & about 1.5 hours into hike. Was beginning to doubt it's existence. Beautiful views at summit. 12km+ hike

Kevin Foster hiked Knott (Uldale Fells) on October 8th, 2020 [from/via/route] Miller Moss. [with] Henry. [weather] Sunny, clouding over later. - After Miller Moss the going was pretty much pathless so you can decide either to make a steep beeline for the summit of Knott or (as I did) make for the broad col to the right & then left up the final ridge. Either way the summit is flat & grassy. The view South is dominated by Mungrisdale Common backed by Blencathra, West by Skiddaw & East by Carrock Fell (in the distance).

Claire Murray summited Knott (Uldale Fells) on November 19th, 2020 [from/via/route] Brae Fell, Great Sca Fell, Knott & High Pike from Fellside Farm [with] Vitor [weather] Warm & sunny but damp - Lovely walk with easy parking at the farm. No sheep on the hills & no leads required! There was no bridge the way the map told us to go but the river was wide, deep & fast flowing so we have to follow the river up by a mile or so until we found some bridges to get across.
