Caroline Winter bagged Flinty Fell on August 20th, 2021 [from/via/route] Parked on B road from Nenthead, path through woodland, Flinty Fell [with] Becky [weather] Drizzly - Best part was woodland; very serene. No visible marker on Flinty Fell. Would have been easier to find by pacing from fence at edge of wood.
Kevin Foster hiked Flinty Fell on October 10th, 2018 [from/via/route] Walk c441 from Nenthead. [with] Henry. [weather] Glorious autumn sunshine. - I had my lunch break by a broken stone wall near the summit with a working quarry to my left. The position of the OS spot height of 614 is incorrect as there is certainly higher ground & a prominent cairn to the north. The highest point is either of two mounds jutting up from the heather moor. The northeast one has a cairn & grand views north eastward towards Killhope cross road summit. The northwest one is probably the highest part of the fell but is unmarked. A lovely descent down the fellside back towards Nenthead takes you along the enchanting wooded ravine of Dowgang Hush (not to be missed).

Take care, once you leave the path, there are a lot of drainage channels running across the moor. You could end up with very wet feet!
