Kevin Foster hiked Dodd (Buttermere) on April 26th, 2021 [from/via/route] Red Pike (Buttermere). [with] By myself. [weather] Sunny with a few clouds. - An unpleasant steep descent on very slippy scree initially before reaching the col with Dodd. The top is then easily reached after a very short climb. The descent to Buttermere from here is paved but very uneven & seems to take forever. However, the lakeside path back to the starting point at Gatescarth is sublime & a beautiful way to end this classic walk.
