Lunch stop here before descending along path to continue up to summit of Pen yr Oleu Wen. Descent from here back to start. [with] PRC [weather] Strong winds but dry. Cool at times.

Returned via Bwlch Eryl Farchog & Ffynnon Llugwy. [with] alone [weather] Sunny, scattered high cloud, light wind - Fantastic! I was so lucky to get a day like that for a walk in the High Carneddau. I was less lucky a few weeks later (9th July),when I got up to Llywelyn through low cloud & then could not continue to Yr Elen. However, the third time I got up Llywelyn, it was via Yr Elen & in splendid weather.
