Route finding early on was difficult but once on Burnbank it was quite straight forward. Weather was superb, blue sky all day. Loweswater is lovely. [with] Tess, my Jack Russell [weather] Lovely blue sky all day & warm! - Finding the way up Burnbank was difficult as there didn't appear to be any paths, but after that it was plain sailing. Great climb down Mell break!

Caroline Winter hiked Blake Fell on August 16th, 2024 [from/via/route] Fell dyke CP, Cogra Moss reservoir, Blake fell [with] Solo [weather] Warm, breezy in tops, excellent views over fells & Scottish Borders - Stunning scenery & easy walking along the fence line. Nice shelter to rest. Steep walk up from reservoir had stunning colours of greens & purple from the trees & heather

Christine Shepherd summited Blake Fell on May 30th, 2010 [from/via/route] Walked from Maggie's Bridge using walk c212 Climbed again using walk 413 on 14.10.21 Climbed for a third time on 3.3.24 from Maggies Bridge via High Nook Tarn. [with] On my own [weather] Hot & sunny - This was part of a very quiet walk near the start of four days of serious peak bagging while staying in Keswick. The walk up to this fell via High Nook Tarn & Fothergill Head was a lovely route. Went on to Gavel & back down via a path at the other side of the Tarn.

Richard Marchant conquered Blake Fell on May 28th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parking the car at Peter House Farm & then followed the Cumbria Way up past Whitewater Dash Water Falls to Black Nettle Hause. From here I went right up Birkett Edge to Bakestall then back to Black Nettle Hause & up the other side following Dry Gill to Little Calva then traversed around to Great Calva keeping to the ridge. Had a rest here then basically followed my route back to the car. [with] On my Own [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.

Returned down Loweswater Fell to the hotel in Loweswater for a pint & a lager in the sun! [with] Jen [weather] A perfect day for walking - sunshine, light winds & some cloud in the afternoon. - Good packed lunch with chocolate biscuits & cake!
