Lucy Perchard climbed Garth Hill (Cwm Taf) on August 21st, 2017 [from/via/route] I was born in Pentyrch which is at the foot of this hill & have walked it too many times to mention! [with] Too many people to list here! [weather] All weathers - Great views over Cardiff & the Bristol Channel to the south & up to the Brecon Beacons to the North. It was the inspiration for "Ffynnon Garw", the fictional mountain (or hill) featured in the book, & later, film, "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain" by Christopher Monger. Great film!
Keith Bezant bagged Garth Hill on April 4th, 2013 [from/via/route] Taffs Well via Gwaelod-Y-Garth [with] Solo [weather] Overcast & blustery on top - I use the 'The Garth' as a training run for any further hills/mountains that I may be thinking of walking
