Adrian Garside hiked Thorpe Cloud on April 30th, 2022 [from/via/route] There was a mens mental health walking club doing a trip up here & Thorpe Cloud is one of the hills I have been anxious about so I thought there could be nothing more appropriate. The weather forecast was 'not rainy' but nothing more optimistic than that, & I woke to frost... however the weather brightened up the further west I drove & by the time I got there is was blue sky & tshirt weather. We parked up by the Old Dog pub & approached from there, which didnt look as scarey as the Dovedale side, & with a bit of a scramble at the top made it. Spectacular views in all directions & and little ridge to walk along, just in case your fear of heights hadnt been tested enough :-) [with] LU NA Mountains [weather] Sunny, 20C

Mark Davidson summited Thorpe Cloud on October 18th, 2010 [from/via/route] Walk s111 Dove Dale, Ilam, Castern Hall & Stanshope from Milldale [with] Alone [weather] Bit grey but nice & dry
