In-use Test:

Our young tester (and her Mum) love the overall design of the Regatta Valentine - especially the colour (Strawberry/Firewood). The length is good - the jacket reachs to the top of the leg - and although the arm length is slightly long, the velcro at the cuffs mean that these are easy to adjust to fit.

The pockets are at a perfect height and angled so that it is easy to slip your hands in and out. Would be useful to have an additional inside, pouch-like pocket for purse, tissues etc.

The Valentine was great in the rain - there was certainly no leakage of rain nor any build-up of condensation at all. The hood works well and folds away easily when not in use.

It is good to see the reflectors - a very useful safety feature.

The overall quality is generally very good, but there are some loose ends in the stitching over the side seams where the elastic tightener is.

We've not yet tested out how it washes - it's in use too much at the moment!

Buying Advice:

Perhaps a tad expensive for casual/infrequent use, but if your daughter is keen on walking or other outdoor pursuits then the Regatta Valentine is a very attractive and functional little walking jacket.
