Somewhere to stay on The Dales Way?
Q. Can anyone help, I am staying in Buckden on the 2nd night of a weeklong walk along The Dales Way and I am struggling to find where to stay on day 3.
Cowgill is 20 miles ish and I was hoping to have a bit less in a day.

A. The Dales Way is a 130km (81 miles) footpath connecting Ilkley in West Yorkshire with Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria. It is waymarked by named posts.
The section from Buckden to Cowgill is actually 28km (17.5 miles) and crosses some pretty wild and desolate country. We are not aware of anywhere to stay actually on the route but The Station Inn at Ribblehead has a bunkhouse.
It is a bit out of your way - about 2km SW down the B6255 from where the Dales Way crosses it 20km (12.5 miles) from Buckden. That would make Day 3 about 14 miles long.
Hope this helps
