Oxford Canal Walk
Q. Dear Editor,
I have in my hand a booklet entitled, 'Oxford Canal Walk' Oxford-Coventry Accommodation guide 1996/1997
We intend to do a walk this Fall (autumn) encompassing the use of The Oxford Canal, the Grand Union Canal, the Heart of England way and the Oxfordshire path.
As we did when traversing the Cotswold Way and the Avon-Kennet canal in 2000, we used luggage carriers, saving ourselves the unecessary burden and giving ourselves an opportunity to wander from the regular route to 'investigate' a little.
First question: Can we obtain an up-to-date accommodation guide for the routes proposed?
Second question: On the back of that particular booklet, there is an organization called 'Towpath Treks'. Do they still exist and is the number still the same. If they do, we could modify our trip to fit their routing or simply use their services where they are available.
Thank you in advance for your help on our behalf.

A. I have tried searching for the company that you mentioned but unforetunately have drawn a blank - so it looks as if they may not still exist.
The contact for the Oxfordshire Way (I assume this is what you are refering to as the Oxfordshire Path) is the Oxfordshire County Council.
You might try searching their site for more info.
I hope you you enjoy your walking holiday.
