Walks Near Bus Routes
Q. As I can only use public transport I wanted to know of any walks (not road walks i.e mostly walking on roads but cross country walks )in Derbyshire Notts or anywhere fairly local or can use train or bus to get to but is not costly (poss 2-3 adults + dog). The walks need to be where we can get to a bus service which would either get us back to nottm or Derby town centre.

A. Most of our walks start in the towns and villages - this is so you can find a tea shop or sink a well earned pint before heading home.
Most of these towns and villages will be serviced by local buses and in some cases the train.
Take a look at our Walks from popular villages, towns and locations feature with particular reference to our Walks from Popular Locations, Town & Villages in The Peak District National Park section.
You'll find a wide collection of superb walks from:
- Alstonefield
- Walks from Bowden Bridge
- Walks from Castleton
- Walks from Crowden
- Walks from Derwent Reservoir
- Walks from Dovestone Reservoir
- Walks from Edale
- Walks from Hartington
- Walks from Hayfield
- Walks from Hope
- Walks from Ladybower Reservoir
- Walks from Longnor
- Walks from Mappleton (aka Mapleton)
- Walks from Milldale
Hope this helps . . .
